Tambatan Hidup

Yesterday the snow arrived here in Portland area for the first time in December. When I peeked outside around 7:30 there's nothing in the ground yet. Less than 30 minutes later I heard Nathaniel's shriek, "Mami! Mami!". I thought he was in trouble, but when he came in my room he said, "It's snowing!". Of course, we adults knew ahead in time from the weather prediction that the snow woud come but we didn't know when exactly. Snow is a rare occasion in Portland area and when it snows it doesn't stick for a very long time. Today's temperature in around 20's and it's predicted that the weather will be very cold for a week and a chance of another snow in the middle of the week. We got about 3 inches of snow and as a result we're snowbound, I don't have to work and Nathaniel didn't have school. I don't know, we might end up at home for a week! Since there is various elevation in Portland area, it could be hard to drive when there's snow and ice on the roads.

As almost a tradition when there's snow, we went out to play in the park yesterday morning. We went to Foothills park in Lake Oswego area and I had some opportunity to take some photos too. There were a lot of people playing as well as walking around in the park. Later that night, we were invited to a friend's house for soup and bread. The night ended with a jovial conversation among good friends.
