Here I am, after a long absent of not writing here. I got a cold about 2 weeks ago and when I had that, I dropped everything. Including writing, blogwalking, exercising, reading, etc. All I did was sleeping and resting a lot. Once I felt better, I went doing everything in full force :) That's just me. My body always tells me when to rest and I always obey.

Today, while everyone's having a day off, Nathaniel's school had a Veteran's day program. It's been a half day school for them and I think it's good that they have a program to remember the veterans, for everything they did to this country. I always, always had tears in my eyes whenever I hear patriotic songs. Such a wuss. Nathaniel's class had 2 songs to perform, the first one was a singing song, the second one was done in sign language. They did very very good on the second song. I was really proud of him and every one of them. They did learn a lot in Mr Smith's class. Next Sunday, they're going to repeat the performance in sign language in the Barnes and Nobles store in Clackamas. There's a book fair and his school gets a chance to witness. Really a wonderful opportunity.

Other than that, I'm going to have a busy weekend. I'll open my house for vespers on Friday night so I have to think about something to make for the guest to nibble. Then on Saturday night, I'm going to bake cookies together with a gal from church. She's such a fun gal to be with, I'm sure I'm going to have a good time together. We're going to bake dark chocolate crinkles together, yum!

Speaking of cookies, I was going to bake flourless chocolate cookies today after coming back home from school. But we went out to eat lunch instead because my hubby invited his friend to come to school to see the program. After lunch, I got to take a nap. It's not fair...I didn't have to work, but I had to wake up early anyway for Nate's school :( So I want my extra sleep this afternoon. Woke up an hour later and since I felt refreshed, I decided to tackle the leaves in the yard. Hubby did the front yard last Sunday. The backyard was full of leaves already and they're wet so better clean them up before somebody slip and fall :D It's drizzling when I started, an hour later it's raining steady. Good thing hubby helped again. He better be, he's off tomorrow anyway :) Haiyah...my work was done for this week!

Three more working days and a full week ahead, I'll be ready for Thanksgiving break!
